Biography

James Henry Alley was born on December 10, 1880, in Montgomery County, Arkansas. On January 19, 1908, he tied the knot with Gracie Victoria Davis in Garland County, Arkansas.

By 1910, James had settled in Hot Springs, Garland County, Arkansas, where he pursued a career as a salesman in the grocery industry. Ten years later, in 1920, he had transitioned into owning a furniture and hardware store, establishing himself as a retail merchant in Gaston Township, Montgomery County, Arkansas. This business venture continued into the 1930s and 1940s, as he maintained his retail merchant career in Mount Ida, Montgomery County, Arkansas.

In 1950, a significant move took place as James relocated to Los Angeles, Los Angeles County, California. However, his time there was cut short, and he passed away on October 31, 1952, in Los Angeles. He was laid to rest at Forest Lawn Memorial Park in Hollywood Hills, Los Angeles County, California, leaving behind a legacy built on hard work, entrepreneurship, and family.
