Obituary

Funeral services for Oscar Barnett Allgood, 88, of 4636 Avenue T, Central Park, were held today at Angwin Mortuary Center. The Rev. W.C. Chappell and the Rev. Edwin Branscom officiated. Burial was in Oakland Cemetery. Mr. Allgood died Monday. A native of Blount County, he was a retired superintendent of the TCI electric repair shop. Mr. Allgood is survived by his wife, Mrs. Eva Allgood, five sons, Cecil D. Allgood of Jasper, Ernest A. and Elliott E. Allgood of Ensley, Oscar B. Allgood, Jr. of Bessemer and Julian R. Allgood of Hueytown; a brother J.J. Allgood of San Marcus, Calif. a sister, Mrs.. F.H. Pryor of Nashville, Tenn., nine grand-children and nine great-grand-children. The grandsons served as pallbearers. ^[1]
