Richard Allison settled in Donegal Township, in Lancaster County, Pennsylvania, about 1722. He was a yeoman (farmer). Richard married Elizabeth ?. On July 1/31?, 1738, Richard patented 376 and ¼ acres of land in Donegal Township. On August 16, 1738, Richard obtained a warrant for 200 acres of land, in Donegal Township. On January 27, 1746/7, Richard gave his son-in-law, William Miller, 100 acres of land in Donegal Township. Also, on January 27, 1746/47, Richard gave his son William Allison, 200 acres of land in Donegal Township. Richard died in late 1757 or early 1758. His will was written on October 1, 1757, and probated on March 27, 1758. The executors were William Allison (Richard’s son) and James Allison (Richard’s son). The witnesses were Joseph Tate and David Byers. Richard willed all his land to his son James. Richard Allison could not write.
