Buford, child of John Almond, was born in 1915 in Stanly, North Carolina.^[1]

Buford (age 19) married Louise Hinson (age 17) on 2 January 1935 in Stanly, North Carolina, United States.^[2]

Buford was drafted and joined the Army on 28 June 1945 in Ft Bragg, North Carolina, United States.^[3] He was discharged 2 Feb 1946.^[4]

Buford died (age 83) on 30 July 1998 residing in Stanfield, Stanly, North Carolina.^[5] He was buried at Meadow Creek Primitive Baptist Church, Locust, North Carolina.
