Biography
Benjamin was born in1904 and passed away in 1929.
- Benjamin Alpert died at 5:30 o'clock Monday morning, September 23, 1929, at a Columbia hospital, his body reaching Sumter shortly after noon today.
Mr. Alpert was twenty-four years old, a graduate of the Sumter High school, and had attended the University of South Carolina. He was a Mason, a member of Claremont Lodge No. 64.
He is survied by his mother, Mrs. L. Alpert; one sister, Miss Fannie Alpert and one brother, Maxie Alpert.
- Ben graduated from Sumter High School in Sumter, S.C. in 1920.
