Biography

Louise was born in 1856. She passed away in 1946.

Funeral services were held Wednesday afternoon in St. John's Lutheran church at New Minden for Mrs. Louise Nottmeyer, 90, who died at the home of Mr. and Mrs. August Collmeyer in New Minden Saturday at 8:30 p.m. Interment was in the church cemetery. Rev. Paul Harre officiated and C. Russell Hileman was in charge. Pallbearers were: Paul and Walter Heseman, Walter and Henry Nieman, Melvin Collmeyer and Virgil Nottmeyer. Mrs. Nottmeyer, was born Jan. 9, 1856, in Germany, daughter to Henry and Louise Althoff nee Bartling. She was baptized soon after birth and confirmed in New Minden by Rev. Eirich in 1870. She was married to Carl Niemann Oct. 22, 1874, and five children were born to this union of whom four are living m follows: William, Mrs. Emma Hesemann, Carl and Mrs. Bertha Collmeyer. One daughter, Mrs. Caroline Heseman died last year. Mr. Niemann died to 1889. She married Karl Nottmeyer on Nov. 23, 1899 and one son Albert was born to this union who survives. Her second husband died in 1838. Others who survive include two step-sons Henry and Wm. Nottmeyer; two step-daughters, Mrs. Lena Brinkmann and Mrs Sophie Windler; one sister Mrs. Hy. Sachtleben; 31 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren and other relatives.
