Biography
When Dolly Altman Taylor was born September 27, 1922 to Lester E. Altman and the Demetry Walton Altman of Baxley, Georgia. [1]
She married Monroe Taylor.
In Baxley, she was a member of First United Methodist Church and worked at United Department Store. After moving to Blackshear, she worked at Wall's Foodliner and Transco Cap Factory. She attended Bethel Baptist Church for years, until she became a charter member of Victory Baptist Church where she was an active member and sang in the choir prior to moving to Jacksonville.[2]
She died on October 26, 2010, in Jacksonville, Florida, at the age of 88, and was buried there[3]
