Biography

William was born 1890 in Kansas. He is the son of Johannes Altwegg and Rosetta Keller.

William married Louise Laura Gfeller on 7 April, 1916, in Kansas, United States.[9] Louise is the daughter of Peter Herman Gfeller (1859–1948) and Rosina Lehman (1860–1940) who were married on 11 November, 1880, in Polk, Iowa, United States.

William passed away 1972 in Salina, Kansas, and is buried in Saint Johns Cemetery, Geary County, Kansas, USA.[10][11][12]

William Altwegg, age 81, 532 Weat 8th St. Junction City, KS. Died at the Asbury Hospital in Salina, KS. He was born May 21,1890 at the Geary/Dickinson county line. He was a well- known retired farmer living in the community, till retirement. He married Louise Gfeller April 7,1926. He was member of the Zion United Church of Christ. Survived by his wife of the home, three daughters: Noreen, Marjorie and Enid.
