I agree we need to merge these but I am stumped by the spelling issue. I have seen this spelled Amonett, Amonette, Amonet, Amonnet, and Ammonet. How to know which is “right”. in Andrew’s father ‘s will it is spelled Amonet throughout but signed Amonnet. Wikitree wont let me proceed without verifying the spelling.

The spelling issue with this line is a hard one. John Andre's last name at birth was spelled Amonnet. I would use that with an AKA of Amonet and Amonette. His brother Jacob's will refers to him as John Amonette. Wikitree prefers you use the last name at birth. It does make it difficult to follow, but that's their rules. I guess we should be happy we have a birth record. The next few generations get really crazy with spellings and I must confess I have contributed to the problem.

I just realized that neither are spelled Amonnet. Whatever you decide will be fine with me.

Do you have a birth record? I haven’t seen one. I think I have seen a will

Amonette-50 and Amonett-3 appear to represent the same person because: same name, same birthday, same parents
