Biography
Karin was imported to WikiTree as the daughter of Anders Fröstensson, who died three years befor she was born, and his wife Ingeborg Nilsdotter, residents of Kisa parish in Östergötland. It was claimed that Karin Andersdotter was born in Älvkarhed and died in Viken, both localities are found in Alfta parish, up north in Hälsingland. There were exact dates for both events.
There is a Karin born 27 August 1726 in the birth book for Alfta, she is, however, the daughter of Johan Nilsson in Norrby. The first baptism witness is an Anders - his name is more visible than Johan's.[1]
In Viken in the household record covering 1650 to 1761, we find Karin Andersdotter, born 1726 in Älvkarhed.[2] The same Karin is in the next record with a birth date 18 February 1727 and a death year 1784.[3] There is no death note for a Karin Andersdotter in Viken in the first half of 1761.[4]
