Biography

Arthur Aubrey Anderson was born in 1859, probably in Kansas. ^[1] He was the son of Henry Anderson and his wife, Caroline Cole. ^[2]

His parents appear to have divorced prior to 1870. He can be found living with his mother and sisters in the 1870 ^[3] and 1880 ^[4] US Censuses.

in 1886, he married Jesse Shortridge. ^[2] Together they had three daughters, all born in Indiana. They were:

1. Margaret C. Anderson
2. Lois Anderson
3. Jean Anderson

Arthur was an electric railway executive. The family can be found living in Ohio in the 1900 US Census. ^[1]

He passed away in 1914 and was buried in Crown Hill Cemetery, Indianapolis. ^[5]
