Biography

Mitchel Henry Anderson was born on November 7, 1855, in Habersham County, Georgia. He had three sons and three daughters with Lovicia Aveline Ivester between 1889 and 1901. He died on February 20, 1925, in Beckham County, Oklahoma, at the age of 69, and was buried in Sayre, Oklahoma.

ANDERSON, MITCHEL H. (26 Feb 1925, Thursday, Texola Tribune, Texola, Beckham Co, OK):

Mitchell H. Anderson, one of the pioneer citizens of Beckham County died at the home of his daughter Mrs. Garth Hammond, Feb. 20, at the age of sixty nine years. Mr. Mitchell and family came to Oklahoma about 20 years ago and settled near Doxey where the family have resided since. Funeral services were held at the home of Mrs. Hammond and interment was had at the Doxey-Sayre Cemetery Saturday afternoon.
