Biography

George was born in 1873 the son of George Anderson and Sallie Henry. According to family history, his mother was dead by 1877 and his father died in 1880. In the 1880 census, he appears living with Sarah and Jasper Anderson (Jasper is a half-brother), several half-siblings, and his two full siblings. He married Sallie in 1898. They had seven children, four of whom survived. HIs WWI draft registration identified him as a farmer, and his 1920 Census data says he's a carpenter. He and Sallie lived in Lancaster, Kentucky, and later in Tuscola, Garrett, and Villa Grove, Illinois. After a time in Oskaloosa, Iowa (where he is identified as a deputy sheriff), they moved to Colorado where he died in 1944.
