Nancy Anderson was a daughter of John Garland Anderson. She was born around 1747 in Marlboro County, South Carolina.[1]
Around 1768, she married Edmund Brown in Bladen County, North Carolina.[1][2] They first lived in Bladen County. In 1790, Edmund and Nancy were enumerated in two different censuses: Cheraw District, South Carolina,[3] and Fayette District, Richmond County, North Carolina, where Edmund owned property.[4] By 1800, they were living in Marlboro County, South Carolina.[5]
