About the year 1842, Martha married William F Cooper, probably in Jackson County, Tennessee, as that is where her parents lived at the time. They were the parents of at least seven children. These children were Louisa, James, George, Mary, John, Garland, and Sarah. [3]
William and Martha can be found in the 1850 census records of Hardeman County, Tennessee with four children in the household. [4]
