Biography

Roberts Anderson was born about 1770. He was the son of William Anderson of Aghacross, County Cork, Ireland and his first wife Anne Roberts.

Roberts Anderson was a Captain in the 20th Light Dragoons.^[1]

On 27 January 1798 in St Catherine Jamaica, he married Mary Bourke Ricketts.^[1][2]

Roberts and Mary had at least the following children:

1. Frances Ricketts Anderson m Evan Evans^[1]
2. William Anderson^[1]
3. Mary Bourke Anderson

He passed away in July 1828 and was buried in Clifton St Andrew, Gloucestershire, England.^[3] Probate was granted on 9 August 1828.^[4]
