Hattie (Anderson) Shope was born in Appalachia, in North Carolina. See Appalachia Project.
Hattie (Anderson) Shope was born 24 April 1867 in Macon Co., NC. She was the daughter of Joseph Black Anderson and his second wife, Mary Manervia Watts.
She married George Shope on 27 January 1893 in Rabun Co., GA.[1]
She passed away on 14 April 1944 in Varennes, Anderson Co., SC,[2] and was buried at Silver Brook Cemetery, Anderson, Anderson County.[3]
