He married Ellen Meadows on March 20, 1874 in Wilcox, Alabama.^[1]

George is listed in the 1880 census as Mitchell, age 27, Farmer and married head of household living with wife Ellen, three of their children and his mother Nancy Anderson in Rehoboth, Alabama.^[2]

In the 1900 census, George is listed as Mitchel, age 47, married head of household living in Rehoboth, Alabama with Ellen and eight of their children.^[3]

In the 1910 census, George is listed as Mitchel, age 57, married head of household living in Rehoboth, Alabama with Ellen and seven of their children.^[4]

George passed away in 1931 in Alberta, Alabama.^[5]

The place of George's burial is unknown at this time.
