Biography

Gustav Adolf Andersen, son of August Andersen & Brita Lisa, was born on 27 December 1889 and baptized in Halden, Østfold.[1] He passed away in 1963.

In the 1900 census Gustav Adolph Andersson was a søn (son) at 5 Elvegaden 0024, 05, Fredrikshald (Halden), Østfold (Ostfold), Norge (Norway), with his parents and six siblings..[2]

On 16 Jun 1910, Gustav Adolf Anderson immigrated to the United States through the port of Boston, Massachusetts on the S. S. Saxonia, with his brother Frans.[3]

Gustav A Anderson (age 24) married Borghild Erlandson (age 23) on 12 December 1914 in Chicago, Cook, Illinois.[4]

In the 1920 census Gustav Anderson (age 30), janitor, was the married head of household in Chicago Ward 28, Cook (Chicago), Illinois, with wife and one son.[5]

He petitioned for naturalization on 22 October 1924 in Cook, Illinois.[6]

In the 1930 census Gustaf Anderson (age 40), dry goods clerk, was the married head of household at 2720 Channery Point, Chicago, Cook, Illinois, with wife, two children, and brother-in-law.[7]

In the 1950 census Gustav Anderson (age 60), janitor, was the married head of household in Chicago, Cook, Illinois.[8]

Gustav Adolph Anderson 74, of 2716 West Cortland Ave., Chicago, died on 28 Dec 1963 in Chicago. He was buried on 31 Dec 1963 in Memory Gardens, Arlington Heights, Cook, Illinois. Informant Martin A Anderson.[9]
