Nettie Pearl (Andes) Kuhn, daughter of William Andes and Emma (Schaeffer, was born near Mound City, Missouri on October 9, 1887. She was united in marriage to Mr. Roy Clarence Kuhn. To this union was born Irene and Lillian. She died at a care center in Mound City on July 29, 1993, at the age of 105 years.
She attended the Bagby School near Mound City. On February 20, 1907, she married Roy C. Kuhn in Mound City. She lived all of her life in this area as a homemaker and a help to her husband on the farm.
She was a member of the Christian Fellowship Church and of the Extension Club.
Preceding her in death were her husband in 1969, a daughter Irene Meyer, three sisters, Laura Nixon, Eliza Weightman, and Bea Murry, one brother, Grover Andes, three brothers and one sister who died in infancy, and one great-granddaughter, Rhonda Gail Meyer.
Survivors include one daughter, Lillian Tenney of Mound City, 13 grandchildren, 36 great-grandchildren, and 23 great-great-grandchildren.
Services were held at 10 a.m. Monday, August 2, 1993 at the Christian Fellowship Church, Mound City with Rev. Jim Brown officiating. Burial was in the Mound Hope Cemetery, Mound City.
Pallbearers were Robert J., William L. and Donald B. Meyer, Dennis and Ronnie Tenney and Virgil Miles.
