Mary Ann Andrus married Charles G. Deen on Christmas Eve, 1865 in Fulton County, Indiana. [1]
In 1880, Charles and Mary lived with their children in Colfax, Clinton, Indiana. The household included Charles G. Deen, 34, a carpenter, who had been unemployed for three months that Census year. He was born in Indiana, his father was born in Massachusetts, and his mother was born in England; Charles’ wife, Mary N., 34, born in Indiana, whose parents were born in New York; and their five children, all born in Indiana: William H., 14;, Erastus C., 12; daughter Deda C., 9; Orris E., 4; and Melvin P., 2.
