Jessie Mary Angus (married name Hatton) was born on 1 September 1879 in Ballarat, Victoria, Australia, the daughter of Florence (Lovelock) Angus and Robert Henry Angus.^[1]

She married John Hatton on 24 January 1912 in Melbourne, Victoria.^[2] Their children were:

• Ronald James Hatton (1914?–1981)^[3]
• Walter Ernest Hatton (1917–1978)^[4]
• Thelma Rita Hatton (1921–1921)^[5]

Jessie died in 1956 in Essendon, Victoria, at the age of 77.^[6]
