Residence Can't find a definite entry in the 1871 census. One possibility in Twickenham but gives wrong place of birth. 1871 Unknown Head: Baker confectioner employing 2 assistants. 1901 141 Stamford St, Ashton under Lyne. Note: In 1861 she was living with her family at the Fighting Cocks at Little Sampford.

In 1871 she is living at 70 Kings Road, Chelsea as an apprentice drapers assistant with many other apprentices.

The 1881 census has her visiting the Smith family at 143 King Street, Hammersmith. Mr John Smith was a butcher employing 1 man and his wife was called Rosa. The census gives Rose's age as 27 and her place of birth as Samford, Essex. The 1881. census has her son, Percy, living at the Fighting Cocks, Little Sampford.

In 1891 she was living at 13 High Street Bedford as a servant and saleswoman in a large household headed by Emanual Norman, a merchant.

In 1901 census she was living at 141 Stamford St, Ashton under Lyne as a baker confectioner working from home and employing 2 assistants.

Her birth is recorded in the GRO as Saffron Walden 4a 350 June 1854.

A possible death record is Wandsworth 1d 405 in Mar 1904.
