Biography

Birth: Hannah C, Applebee was born likely born on 24 March 1848 in York, York, Maine, United States. She was the daughter of John Applebee and Lavina Applebee. Some records indicate in 1840. See Research Notes.^[1][2][3][4]

In the 1860 census Hannah (age 12) was living in York, Cape Neddick, York, Maine, USA. Also living in the home is her 2 year old sister Roseanna.^[2]

Marriage: 20 Oct 1863 Daniel R. Ford of North Berwick, Maine married Hannah C Applebee of York, Maine in North Berwick.^[5][4] 19 Aug 1863 marriage intentions where filed in North Berwick.^[6]

Death and Burial: Hannah died at the age of 38 on 11 June 1878 in Wells, Maine. She is buried in the Ford-Roberts-Winslow 151 lot on the east side of Morrells Mills Road in North Berwick, Maine where her husband will come to be buried.^[1]

• The 1960 Census indicates Hannah born about 1848 in the home of John and Lavina Appleby.The 1870 Census would also put her date of birth at 1848.^[2][3] FindAGrave connects Hannah to Levi J. Applebee, but gives her date of birth as 1840.^[1]
• Hannah's youngest daughter Hattie and Hannah's sister Roshanna (Roseanna) appear in the household of her widowed husband, Daniel R. Ford, on the 1880 Census.^[7]
