Biography
Capt Thomas Carroll Applewhite was born 27 Jan 1840 and was a pioneer resident of Bexar County, Texas, arriving here with his father when he was a young man. The Applewhite crossing of the Medina river was named in honor of his father. He married Miss Josephine Desmukes of Oak Island, Bexar county.[1]
