Biography
Julian was born in and baptized on the same day, Feb, 12, 1778. He is the son of Juan Damian Archuleta and Juana Micaela Salazar. The Archuleta family moved from Santa Clara, to Abiquiu, then to Taos where they stayed for two/three generations. Several his siblings were baptized in pueblo mission churches.
In 1799 Julian married Maria Manuela Varela in the mission Church of Santo Tomás Apóstol, in Abiquiu. His profile page on Family Search has ten children in their family.
