Biography
Berethe Arentsdatter was married to Peder Anderssøn Hemnes, and lived at Hemnes in Hemnes, Nordland.[1] Their children were:
- Anders, 6 years old in 1701, lived at Hestnes[1]
- Arnt, 4 years old in 1701, mentioned in Per's probate of 1715[1]
- Ane, born about 1702, lived at Sætra[1]
- Rasmus, born 1705, in service at Dønna at the time of his mother's probate in 1744[1]
- Hans, born 1708, lived at Straumen[1]
- Berit, born 1712, married Johan Jakobsen from Sæteren in 1733, moved to Sør-Solvær in Lurøy, probate 1755[1]
- Peder, born 1714, lived at Selfors NR[1]
- Marite, born 1698, married Gabriel Nilsen Fjelldal in 1716, lived at Hansgården at Yttern, Rana, probate 1773[1]
- Maren, born 1700, lived at Mula[1]
Peder's probate was in 1715.[1]
Berit married Hans Anderssøn, who took over the farm, in 1716.[1] Their daughter was:
- Elen Adelus, born 1717, married David Pedersen from Tømmerneset in 1744[2], lived at Vikholmen in Nesna, probate 1780.[1]
Berethe and Hans later lived at Selfors in Rana.[1]
She was buried 9 Feb 1746.[1]
Her probate was in 1744,[1] on 3 Aug at Selfors in Rana.[3]

The burial record for 9 Feb 1746 is for Birgitha Arentsdatter Selfors, 75 years old.[4]
