Wife: Mary Armstrong (born Edgerton).Married in County Monaghan about 1829.[2]

Children:Frances (Fanny) (Harriet) Egan (born Armstrong), Thomas Armstrong, Robert Armstrong, Ellen Sainsbury (born Armstrong), William Armstrong, Mary Armstrong, Eliza Perks (born Armstrong), Rosanna Armstrong, Joseph Armstrong, Bridget Armstrong, Jane Percival (born Armstrong), Charlotte Perks (born Armstrong), Rachel Armstrong, John Armstrong.

Arrived in Sydney, New South Wales, Australia on 27 Sep 1839 on ship Royal Admiral with wife and three children, as Bounty immigrants. The two youngest children, William and Mary, died on the voyage. [3][4]
