John married Margaret Wales. They lived and farmed on Route 1, Elkmont, Limestone County, Alabama.[3] Maggie died in 1920.
John married Maud McGuire July 28, 1920, in Giles County, Tennessee.[4] They lived in Athens, Limestone County, Alabama.[5] In 1940 they were in Sand Springs, Limestone County, Alabama.[6]
John died January 10, 1967.[7][8] He was buried at Falkville City Cemetery, Falkville, Morgan County, Alabama.[9]
