Biography

Melvina Jane Arrington was born February 22, 1850 in Cherokee, Texas to Edmond and Joanna (nee Park) Arrington. In 1860, the family lived in Kaufman, Texas.

Melvina married John Dean Davis on November 24, 1875 in Limestone County, Texas.[1] They had seven children: Nannie, Roburda, John, James, Jerusha, Annie and Nonie. Melvina spent the rest of her life in Limestone County.

Melvina died December 19, 1926 in Limestone County, Texas. She is buried at Cobb Cemetery in Groesbeck, Texas.
