Biography
John Ashby was born in Kettering, Northamptonshire on 29 January 1805. He was baptised at the Independent Meeting Church in Kettering on 25 August 1805. John was ordained as a dissenting minister in Thetford, Norfolk in 1835. The son of John Ashby and Ann Sumner, he married Mary Ann Walden in 1849. He died 1 June 1863 in Stony Stratford, Buckinghamshire.
