Biography

Harriet was born in West Clandon Surrey in 1862. She is the daughter of Shadrach Attfield and Harriet Woods. Harriet was baptised in West Clandon on 4 January 1863.

As a young woman, Harriet worked as a servant in various households in the London area.

In 1896, in Paddington London, Harriet, age 33, married Charles Chuter, a widower who had fathered 4 children. Charles first wife had passed away earlier in 1896. Harriet and Charles would not have children together.

Harriet passed away in Paddington in 1910 at about age 47.
