Biography

William was born in Albury about 1817. He is the son of James Attfield and Sarah Snelling. (No birth or christening record could be located, so this info comes from census data).

William worked as a gardener.

On 30 November 1844 in Albury, William married Elizabeth Hobbs (nee Cramp) a widow, and they would become the parents of 1 son William James, born in 1849.

William passed away at 23 Brandon Road Brixton Surrey on 9 April 1885 at about age 67. He was interred one week later at Norwood Cemetery, Lambeth.
