Biography
Nancy Atkins was born about 1755,[1] in either Virginia or North Carolina, the daughter of Ica Atkins Sr and Anna Hutchins. She is identified as deceased daughter, Nancy Parker, in her father's Cumberland, North Carolina, will dated 23 Nov 1796.[2]
She married Jacob Parker who served in the Cumberland County, North Carolina, militia during the Revolutionary War. Comments included in the DAR Patriot Index for her husband indicate that her name was Nancy (NOT Mary)[1] which had previously been listed in DAR records.[3]
