His birth is an estimate based on being mentioned in grandfather William Astyn's PCC will dated 1522 and known to be s/o Stephen from his 2nd wife Margaret
He is thought to have married to Anne Gate and died before 1570, possibly East Farleigh, Kent apparently leaving no (surviving) issue
