Samuel Avera/Avery was in Wilkes County, Georgia by 1787, according to court records on Johnson County taxes owed for the year 1786.

The orphan John Ingram at 14 years old requested his older brother, Thomas Ingram, as his guardian. The guardianship change was so that John could relocate to Georgia, joining his uncle and aunt Samuel and Zilpha Ingram Avera/Avery and other uncles Isaac and Arthur Avera/Avery. Thomas and John Ingram arrived in Lincoln County, Georgia where Thomas married Rebecca Bussey July 28, 1799. John Ingram later married her sister Nancy Bussey.

1824 Putnam, Georgia, U.S., for Samuel Avera/Avery and also Zilpha Avera/Avery.[3]

Avery-749 and Avera-117 appear to represent the same person because: the dates are the same and the parents names are the same. The father however, has different data and may be incorrect on one of the profiles. The mothers are the same. please work these profiles, thanks for helping to improve Wikitree.
