The death of Mrs. Edward Anderson occurred Friday evening after a. lingering illness which she bore with Christian resignation. Deceased was 79. years old. She was a consistent member of the Baptist church, and had hosts of. friends who will sincerely regret her demise. Four sons and two daughters. survive. The sons are Albert and Bliss, of Cole's Island, Fred of Victoria,. B.C., and Lee, of Port Arthur, Ont., the daughters, Mrs. F.A. Harrison of. Sackville, and Mrs. F.A. White of Hamilton, Bermuda. She also leaves three. brothers, Dr. N. Ayer, Petitcodiac, and Stephen and J.R. Ayer of this town. The funeral was held Sunday afternoon and was largely attended. Rev. E.L. Steeves conducted the services and hymns, Jesus Lover of My Soul, A Few. More Years Shall Roll, and It is Best to Die, were effectively sung by the. choir of Main Street Baptist church. Many floral offerings were laid on the. coffin as a last tribute to a worthy life. The pall bearers were the sons,. Messrs. Albert and Bliss Anderson and brothers, Dr. N. Ayer, of Petitcodiac,. and Jas. R. Ayer, of Middle Sackville. Interment took place in the rural. cemetery. (Sackville Tribune Post, 5 July 1907).
