Biography

This profile is part of the Buxton, Maine One Place Study.

Ephraim Sands married Abigail Ayers at the Church of Christ in Buxton, York, Maine on 20 Oct 1791.[1] The records of the church identity them as "Ephraim Sands Tertius & Abigail Ayer, both of Buxton.” Maine Marriages[2] identifies them as "Ephraim '3rd' Sands" and "Abigail Ayer".

She is buried in Whiting Road Cemetery, Jordan, New York[3] Her date of death, engraved on the headstone, is Sept 7, 1834. Her birth date is calculated from the gravestone inscription.
