William is shown in Pocola, LeFlore Co., Oklahoma in 1900 with family. Alfie is not in the household and Jessie wasn't born until November of 1900.

On January 7, 1920 census shows William with wife Rebecca and daughters Willie and Jessie in Haskell co., Center Twsp., Oklahoma.

April 17, 1930 Federal Census shows William with wife Rebecca and daughter Jessie in the home.

I visited The Antioch Cemetery, located east of Stigler in Haskell Co., Oklahoma, on 12/5/2003 and found his family except Joda, which is buried at Stigler Cemetery, Alfie Ayers & Lawsie Ayers.

Source: Mallory Funeral Home Records. I visited the funeral home on Oct., 13, 2004 and received the record of funeral which states that William was born in Chattanooga, Tn although the census records show he was born in Georgia.

Rev. W. M. Trent officated Thursday morning at 10:30 when the funeral for William E. Ayer, pioneer citizen was held at the Antioch cemetery, where interment was made, under the direction of the Mallory Funeral Home.

Ayer, 86, died at the home of relative, following a brief illness. Surviving Ayer are, the widow, Mrs. Rebacca Ayer, four daughters, two brothers, sam of Warrior, Alabama, A. R. of Wright City, oklahoma, and one sister, Mrs. B. Z. McKinney, of Bokoshe.
