Biography

John Ayre was born in 1871 in Echuca, Victoria, Australia, the son of Ellen Plenty (Coates) Ayre and John Ayre.^[1]

He married Annie Harrison in 1894 in Victoria.^[2] Their son was:

• Gordon Raymond Charles Ayre (1902–?)^[3]

John died on 28 November 1914 at Johnson's Reef mine in Eaglehawk, Victoria, through an explosion.^[4][5]
