Col. Nathan Babcock. son of Samuel Babcock and Ann Pendelton was born at Westerly, Rhode Island Nov. 25, 1726; and died at Westerly, Jan. 24, 1804. [1]

Col. Nathan Babcock represented Westerly in the Rhode Island General Assembly 1760-1. He was appointed by the General Assembly in May, 1761, Colonel of Kings County Regiment of Militia. (C. R. of R. I., vol. vi.) He was Justice of the Peace in 1755.

Nathan Babcock, son of Samuel, of Westerly, and Deborah Stafford of Warwick were married on 19 May 1748 in Westerly, Rhode Island. The marriage was performed by Elder Joseph Maxson.[3]
