Captain Zebulon Babson served with Massachusetts during the American Revolution.

Zebulon was born in 1750. He was the son of Solomon Babson and Elizabeth Parsons. He passed away in 1784. ZEBULON5 BABSON (SOLOMON4, JOHN3, RICHARD2, JAMES1) was born December 10, 1750 in Gloucester, Mass., and died 1784 in At Sea. He married MARY ALLEN 1775 in Gloucester, Mass.. She was born October 14, 1751 in Gloucester, Mass., and died February 13, 1818 in Gloucester, Mass..

29 Dec 1781 Boston, petition signed by John Babson and other that Zebulon be commissioned commanded of the privateer "Diamond." Granted 30 Dec 1781. Captain - list of prisoners returned in exchanged for prisoners sent to New York. [1]
