The Reeves project includes a quotation from the Rives book citing the IPM of a William Ryves of Henley on Thames in 1642. (so dying before his fathe, Sir William ) https://thereevesproject.org/data/tiki-index.php?page=Ryves_William_RR23ID79 . I cannot find a catalogue entry for a William Ryves but there is one for a William Reeves in that year; this is possibly the correct one.It can only be checked by visiting the National Archives at Kew or ordering a digital copy https://discovery.nationalarchives.gov.uk/details/r/C7752257
The burial register entry on this page is miss-attribute.It is from St Leonard's Waterstock, not either of the Oxford St Mary'sparishes. it's not the easiest read but I really can't find anything that resembles Elizabeth Ryves.
This profile was recently merged into Elizabeth Unknown. Since merges can't be undone,this is a suggestion as a way forward.
1) unlink Elizabeth Bagshaw from Richard Ryves and revise her bio to reflect the secondary sources. (neither Sir William, d 1647 or his son William have profiles at present) 2) remove the burial register image since it doesn't appear to be relevant to either the wife of Richard Ryves or to the wife of William Ryves. 3) create a new Elizabeth Unknown wife of Richard, maybe recycling from the unknown project rather than creating a brand new profile.
