Mark Bailey was born on 13 Jul 1859^[1] as the ninth child of William Bailey and Jane Knight in St Albans, New South Wales, Australia. He had eleven siblings, namely: Jane, Harriet, Charles, Sarah, Matilda, Joseph, Henry, Edward, David, Alexander and Reuben, and eight half siblings, namely: Ann, Elizabeth, Susannah, William John, James, Mary Ann, George and Richard. He died on 31 Jan 1933^[2] in St Albans, New South Wales, Australia. When he was 17, he married Ann Harris, daughter of Thomas Harris and Elizabeth "Eliza" May, on 20 Apr 1877^[3] in MacDonald River, New South Wales, Australia.

Mark Bailey was buried^[4] in St Albans, New South Wales, Australia (St Albans New Cemetery).
