Biography

Father Killed, Family Hurt in car accident The car driver was killed and five other persons were injured when a car collided head-on with a market lorry in Wiseman's Ferry Road about seven miles from Windsor, last night. Ronald Ernest Bailey, 25, of St. Albans, was killed instantly.

Those injured are: Mrs. R. Bailey, 21, wife of Ronald Bailey, concussion, lacerations to face and ears, and shock. Edwin Bailey, three, severe facial lacerations, probable fractured skull, fractured right jaw, and severe shock. Condition serious. Rhonda Bailey,15 months, severe shock. Miss Olive Bailey, 28, sister of Ronald Bailey, facial lacerations and very serious shock. Lindsay Robinson, 26, of St. Albans, severe facial lacerations, probable fractured hip and thigh, and shock. The Bailey family was returning along a wet road to St. Albans from Windsor, where they had been visiting a sick relative. Richmond Ambulance attended and the five injured people were admitted to Windsor Hospital.
