Mr. Harry Latham Baillieu, 52, of Torrumbarry Estate, near Echuca, who died suddenly on Monday in a private hospital in Melbourne, was the second son of the late Mr. W. L. Baillieu, MLC, and a brother of Sir Clive Baillieu. In the last war in which he was severely gassed, Mr. Baillieu served as an officer in the Royal Artillery, in which he enlisted while studying in Britain, and won the Military Cross. He was closely identified with the pastoral industry, and was a particularly keen Dorset Horn fancier, having a few years ago brought to Australia many English prize winners for his stud on his Murray River property near Echuca. One of the most popular members of the Australian Club and Royal Melbourne Golf Club, Mr. Baillieu had a wide circle of friends, and was well known for his generosity. He is survived by a widow (daughter of Mr. W. S. Robinson) and 2 sons and 2 daughters. Cremation will be private, and arrangements are in hands of A. A.
