His death certificate states the parents were Tilman Bain[1] and Ellen Wafford[1], however common knowledge shows as Stephen Bain and Dilah Crook . Work needs to be done to confirm the actual parents, there is an 1880 Census with a William Bain age 6, and suspected mother Elizabeth Bain, however again the name does not match expectations.

William Creed Bain was born in DeKalb County, Tennessee in January of 1876.
He married Charity Herriman[1] on the 15th of October, 1895[1] in DeKalb County, Tennessee[2]. They would have:

In 1930 he was living in District 4 in DeKalb County, Tennessee[4]
In 1940 he was living in Rural DeKalb County, Tennessee[5]
His final home would be at 508 Marietta Street, Murfreesboron, Rutherford County, Tennessee[1] and he was a farmer[1].
He died on the 25th of August, 1960[1] Murfressboro, Rutherford County, Tennessee[1] and he would be buried in the Hale Cemetery in DeKalb County, Tennessee[6]
