Biography
David's birth date is estimated from his christening date. He was the son of Moses Baird and Mary Rapie.
In 1850 "D. M. Baird" age 26 b Ohio was living in the household of his sister, Susannah (Baird) Clayton and her husband David Moore Clayton.[1]This D. M. Baird was a clerk employed by the merchant D. M. Clayton.
There is also a David F. Baird aged 28 in Athens County in 1850, living in the household of P N Grisham and wife Maria Grisham. This David F. Baird was a physician.[2]
These two Bairds appear to be the same person, as David Frame Baird was both the brother of Susannah Baird Clayton and a physician.
His first wife was Narcissa Post. They were married 14 Nov 1850 in Athens County, Ohio.[3]
In 1860 David and Narcissa Baird were living in McArthur, Vinton, Ohio. David was age 40, b. Ohio, occupation M D. Narcissa was age 26 b PA. Their children were: Joseph P. Baird, age 7; Banning C. Baird age 5 and Jefferson F. Baird, age 3.[4]
Narcissa Post Baird died in 1865.
David's second marriage was to Julia Robbins, 4 Feb 1867 in Athens County, Ohio.[5]
David and Julia Baird were living in McArthur, Elk Township, Vinton, Ohio in 1870. David was age 49 b Ohio. Julia was age 32 b Ohio. In addition to Jefferson Baird age 13 from David's first marriage, they had children: Ena Baird age 9; Charles Baird age 2. Domestic servant Rebecca Murphy age 17 was also in the household. David Baird was a physician; the children were attending school.[6]

Dr. David Frame Baird died in McArthur, Vinton, Ohio of typhoid[7] and is buried in the Alexander Cemetery in Hebbardsville, Athens, Ohio.[8]
