James had slaves, William did not. I can send the count, if it'simportant to you. total is 24.
Sometime after the civil war the Bairds left Louisianna for Bell, Texas.They first settled in Bell Co., Texas and after a few years, brothersBythell H and Charles B. were settled in Coryell County. Their sisterCornelia settled in Runnels County. Brother John in McLennan Co., and twopaternal uncles resided in Johnson Co.
