Emmeline was born out of wedlock to Alice Baker (1844 Ledston, Yorkshire). Alice married William Atkinson (1845 Ackworth, Yorkshire) on 27 Nov 1871 in Pontefract, Yorkshire.
Emmeline married John Travis (Unknown Birth Year and Birth Place) on 27 Mar 1887 in Warmfield, Yorkshire. One known child was born to this marriage, Edith Ellen (29 Oct 1887 Gawthorpe, Yorkshire). On Edith's baptism record, her father's occupation is listed as a "sinker". I believe he worked in the mines.
I could not find Emmeline on the 1891 England Census.
In the West Yorkshire, England, Prison Records, 1801-1914, Emmeline was sentenced to 2 months labor for selling beer without a license. Her occupation was listed as a lodging housekeeper. She was released on 24 Apr 1901.
The 1901 England Census taken 31 Mar 1901, has her listed as a prisoner of the HM Wakefield Prison.
Emmeline married Charles Bertie Oxborough in 1906 Nelson, Lancashire. No known children were born to this marriage.
